Growing up on Turner’s Creek, she considered herself a river rat. There is no doubt from her stories that she enjoyed the freedom of living on the island in the 1950’s/60’s. Nancy graduated from Savannah High School in 1968, and then went on to study at the Atlanta College of Art for two years.
